For Princeton Township and Princeton Borough Residents - Princeton Fair Tax-Revaluation Group will discuss final decisions on important recommended next steps in challenging the recent Property Revaluation.

The Princeton Borough and Township Revaluation Study Commission Report has just been posted and can be downloaded from here, with appended documents.

While acknowledging that “the 2010 revaluation was not without flaws”,  the commission concludes that “the 2010 revaluation of the Princetons properties is difficult to challenge as improper in its methods or unreasonable in its results”.

Township Committee and the Borough Council appointed the Joint Revaluation Study Commission to assess the reasonableness of the revaluation and suggest mechanisms for mitigating its effects.

Princeton Township is forming a citizen's commission to study the recently completed real property revaluation and its impacts on the residents of our community, and to explore initiatives that could provide relief to those residents who are struggling with the problem of increased taxes as a result of the revaluation.

Here is a link to the resolution establishing the commission, for additional information on the work of the commission.
