“Walk n’ Roll with Enable”: Exhibition Ability

Wheelchair rugby and basketball teams will take center court during the February 25, 2012, “Walk n’ Roll with Enable” at Rider University’s Student Recreation Center. This indoor walk will feature athletes with disabilities demonstrating their skills and challenging spectators in a fun competition to raise support for programs helping persons with disabilities live full and independent lives. Persons of all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate in this fun-filled day of movement, entertainment and motivational speakers. Persons can register www.enablenj.org to participate as individual or team walkers or attend as spectators.

Guest speakers Kelly Rouba, former Miss Wheelchair New Jersey, and Wesley Brooks, an advocate personally affected by cerebral palsy, will motivate the crowd along with Rider University’s “DTG” dance team and cheerleaders. Youth walk teams from area high schools, including West Windsor-Plainsboro North and West Windsor-Plainsboro-South, Montgomery High, Notre Dame, Princeton, and Robbinsville along with several faith-based groups are among those participating.
