Alexander Road Construction

Some lane closures and detours coming up for Alexander Road.  The following notices were issued by the West Windsor Township:

NJDOT announces that the on-going bridge repair work on Alexander Road, at the D&R Canal bridge crossing being performed by IEW Construction Group  will require partial lane closures, beginning on or about Tuesday, March 15, 2011.  Work on structural repairs to the bridge has been on-going and now requires closure of one lane to permit equipment on the bridge.  Partial lane closures will be occurring from approximately 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM only.  It is anticipated that this work will take approximately  one (1) week, weather permitting.   It is expected that motorists will experience delays during this time.      

West Windsor Township announces that Lucas Construction Group will begin reconstruction and paving work on or about Monday, March 14, 2011 on Alexander Road, between Canal Pointe Boulevard and Canal Road.  Work hours will take place daily from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with partial lane closures occurring from approximately 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. It is anticipated that this work will take approximately ten (10) weeks, weather permitting.   It is expected that motorists will experience delays during this time.      

Mid-project there will be a two (2) week full closure (from Glenview Drive to Canal Road) with detour in order to perform deep utility work and repairs.  During this time traffic will be detoured using US Route 1 to Washington Road to Faculty Road.

Existing businesses, including Obal Garden Market, will remain accessible during the project.
