A Princeton Proposal for NJ Public Media

A new report by Princeton University media scholars calls for a radical reinvention of public media in New Jersey, particularly NJN.

The report, entitled "A Future for Public Media in New Jersey", proposes developing a strong public radio operation to fill the growing dearth of independent news sources in the state.

In the report  co-author Paul Starr, Professor of Communications and Public Affairs at Princeton University, takes NJN to task for "failing to keep up with changes in the media", and "being too dependent on political sources of funding to bite the hands that feed it".

The entire report is available at New Jersey Policy Perspective.
