Town-Gown JAM and TOY DRIVE

Author(s):

A wonderful example of the University, altruistic neighbors, merchants, helping those in the community!

In front of the Palmer Square holiday tree,  Princeton University, JaZams toy store, and the YWCA Princeton joined together for a delightful evening Friday night. Nine town and gown groups singing a capella were featured. They included: the Princeton University Tigressions, Princeton University Band, Tigertones, Nassoons, Wildcats, Kindred Spirit, Tigerlilies, Katzenjammers, Footnotes, Old NasSoul, and Koleinu. JAZAMs again generously offered a 20% discount on toys donated to the YWCA’s St. Nicholas Projected, founded twelve years ago by Jill Jachera to benefit local families and children. Standing left to right are the evening’s organizers: Diane Hasili (YWCA Princeton), Joe Ramirez (Princeton University), Jill Jachera (Founder, St. Nicholas Project), and Joanne Farrugia (JaZams owner).
