An Act of Faith

No different than the rest of the country or the deep south, housing in New Jersey and particularly Princeton in the 1950's was determined and separated by race. It didn't matter that you were a World War II veteran, veteran housing was closed to all African Americans and for those who had advanced degrees with executive level jobs housing options were limited to the "black neighborhood". That was until members of three segregated churches decided to change and provide housing options for African Americans.Act of Faith a film by Diane Ciccone documents that struggle, vision and plan to become one of the first plannedintegrated neighborhoods in the country.Scheduled airtimes: May 12 at 10 am, May 13 at 9 pm, May 14 at noon, May 15 at 8 pm, May 16 at 9 am, May 17 at 9 pm and May 19 at 8:30 pm
