Highest per-pupil spending in the county

New Jersey’s Department of Education has just released its annual School Report Card, and it shows that Princeton Regional Schools spent $17,421 per pupil last year, the highest average in Mercer County.  That represents a six percent increase from the 2008-09 average of $16,407.

Some highlights:
- 98% of Princeton High School students graduate
- 83.8% go on to a four-year college

After having its opening this past fall delayed by legal technicalities, the status of Princeton International Academy Charter School (PIACS) remains uncertain, with its founders still at loggerheads with the surrounding public school districts.
