West Windsor, NJ: New Jersey contractors are invited to register for the EPA Model Renovator Certification training. Mercer County Community College is offering the Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RPP) Program and NJ DCA Rules and Regulations at a one-day class on March 13 at the college’s West Windsor campus, at 1200 Old Trenton Road.

Course content includes NJ DCA rules and regulations, lead based paint health concerns, planning the job, lead dust containment, cleaning, training, non-certified renovation workers, hands-on training, and recordkeeping.

What really happened on Institute land?  Historians weigh in.

Dr. Mark Peterson of the University of California, Berkeley pulled up a darkened yellow map of the Battle of Princeton on a projector screen at last Thursday’s meeting of the Regional Planning Board.  
 
“You wouldn’t want to use it to find yourself from Trenton to Princeton in the dark, but this primary document was drawn by an anonymous spy for General Washington,” he said.

Another attempt to persuade the University not to move the Dinky

Princeton University attorneys threatened legal action against the Borough, if the Council were to pass an ordinance that specifies that the area around the Dinky train station - known as Lot 39 - can only be developed for transit purposes or retail related to transit.

This was the sentiment Saturday morning among some of those attending Princeton Future’s meeting on plans to build a mid-rise residential community at the site of the old University Medical Center at Princeton on Witherspoon Street.

Construction of Princeton University's new High-Performance Computing Research Center is expected to near completion this summer, while work on the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment is scheduled to begin. Several other construction and renovation projects also will continue on campus this summer.

Results of ongoing negotiations are published

Weeks of negotiations between Princeton University, Borough, and Township over the controversial Arts, Entertainment and Transit Neighborhood have resulted in a Memorandum of Understanding, just published by the Borough.  While there seems to be no change in the University's resolve to move the Dinky station, the MOU does include certain measures to appease critics of its development plans.

Princeton Borough residents are one step closer to walking down a rejuvenated Alexander Road in twenty years, after the Borough Council agreed to formally introduce for public discussion the zoning for the Arts, Education and Transit Neighborhood at a meeting on Tuesday night.

Boro Council to Consider Rezoning for Arts and Transit

Borough Administrator Bob Bruschi is preparing to present a modified Arts and Transit Zoning Ordinance at tomorrow evening's Borough Council meeting.  In a letter to the Mayor and Council, Bruschi says he will "strongly urge the Council to introduce this ordinance or a version that is substantially similar to it.  While it might not be the final document I think it is important to formally start the process."
