This Wednesday, one day before the Princeton High School Prom, students will get a close look at what can happen in a fatal DWI accident.  Police, emergency services, and a funeral home will stage a dramatic reenactment of a DWI crash right on Walnut Street, between the Middle and High Schools. 

This community-wide celebration of school gardens, healthy living and sustainability is now in its second year – last year attracted several hundred visitors and this year we expect even more will attend to enjoy live music, local food, gardening and nutrition demonstrations, sports clinics, and arts and crafts in our beautiful school gardens.

West Windsor, N.J. – Young, creative and imaginative minds will delight in TheatreworksUSA’s brand new children’s musical, “Skippyjon Jones,” coming to Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre on May 19, with shows at 2 and 4 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.

Pierrot Productions presents the Tony Award-winning musical “Company” at Mercer County Community College’s Kelsey Theatre. Dates and show times for this Sondheim classic are Fridays, May 18, 25 and June 1 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, May 19, 26 and June 2 at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, May 20, 27 and June 3 at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on Mercer’s West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. A reception with the cast and crew follows the opening night performance on May 18.

West Windsor, NJ: The Association of Black Women Lawyers of New Jersey (ABWL) and the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association (NJWLA) present “Reimaging Equality, an Evening with Anita Hill” on Wednesday, May 2. The talk takes place at Mercer County Community College’s Conference Center located on the West Windsor campus at 1200 Old Trenton Road.

West Windsor, N.J. - The artistic talents of Mercer County Community College's art students will be showcased in this year's "MCCC Visual Arts Student Exhibition," on display from Tuesday, April 24, through Thursday, May 17.
The exhibit is free and open to the public and takes place at The Gallery at MCCC, located on the second floor of the college's Communications Building on the West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. An Opening Reception is set for Wednesday, April 25, from 5 - 7:30 p.m.

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will host a public lecture on environmentally friendly practices at Mercer County Community College’s West Windsor campus on Wednesday, April 25, at noon in the Communications Building, room 109. The talk is part of the college’s Distinguished Lecture Series.

The Mercer County Holocaust-Genocide Resource Center and Congregation Beth Chaim of Princeton Junction will be commemorating Holocaust Remembrance Day with a screening of the documentary “Only a Number” on Wednesday, April 18, at 7 p.m. at the Congregation Beth Chaim, 329 Village Road East, Princeton Junction.

West Windsor, NJ: Rutgers University Art Professor Judith Brodsky will discuss the contemporary art world at Mercer County Community College on Tuesday, April 17, at noon in the Communications Building, Room 110. The talk, entitled, “My Life in Art,” is the fourth in the college's Spring 2012 Distinguished Lecture Series, and will be held at the college’s West Windsor Campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.

Professor Brodsky is an artist, printmaker and arts advocate. In her talk, she will draw from her own experience as an artist as well as from her projects as a curator and activist.

Here comes Princyclopedia, Cotsen’s huge, annual event where we bring a book to life through a multitude of hands-on projects, activities, live shows, and demonstrations. This year’s book is Robin Hood, and we plan to bring the medieval world to life in all its splendor and glory!

See period weapons in action, sample mead, storm a castle, test your survival skills in Sherwood Forest, illuminate a manuscript, meet live falcons, discover the science of stained glass, examine a longbow, explore an alchemist’s workshop, and rock out to musicians playing hits from merrie olde England!

Journey to a world of witches, wizards and munchkins in the Yardley Players’ production of the musical, “The Wizard of Oz” at Mercer County Community College’s Kelsey Theatre. Hike the Watershed Reserve in Pennington with one of the Naturalists, in search of natural bird homes. Then build your own Eastern bluebird house with us and take it home. Registration is required, space is limited. $25 per birdhouse. Participants should bring a hammer.

Discover the secret life of frogs on a special night hike at the Watershed Association's pond in Pennington. Wear waterproof boots and bring a flashlight. Adults and families (children 6 and older) are welcome, registration is required. This program does not meet at the main campus of the Watershed Reserve. FEE

Children 3-10 years old will wander through the fields and forest of the Watershed Reserve in Pennington, in search of naturally dyed eggs. Children should bring a bag or basket to hold eggs. Registration requested - held rain or shine. $8 per child, no charge for adults.
