The YWCA of Princeton’s 29th annual Tribute to Women Awards Dinner will take place on Thursday, March 1 at the Hyatt Regency Princeton beginning at 5:15 pm. Ten women will be inducted to the YWCA’s prestigious list of honorees who embody its mission of eliminating racism and empowering women. Suzannne McCroskey will be the recipient of the esteemed Waxwood Award in recognition of her numerous contributions as a YWCA volunteer for more than a decade.

Exciting photographic images by local photographers Deborah Land and Jeff Currie will be exhibited at ART WAY GALLERY in Plainsboro, New Jersey. “SEEN & UNSEEN” expresses the artists’ spiritual journeys and explores innovative techniques of fine art photography. Art Way Gallery is located at Princeton Alliance Church, Schalks Crossing Road at Wyndhurst Rd, Plainsboro, NJ 08536. The show runs from December 18 – January 21. Reception for the artists will be held Friday, January 6, 2012 from 5pm – 8pm with a snow date of Friday, January 13. Gallery Hours: M-F 9-9, Sat 3-8, Sun 8:30-1.

Zoming board hears application for South Brunswick site

Emotions ran high at a packed Zoning Board of Adjustment hearing last night on the proposed location of a Chinese immersion charter school on Perrine Road in South Brunswick.
